This is a static website without user accounts and without advertising or analytics cookies. We do not set any cookies at all. Fonts are served locally from our own server — no connection to third-party font services is made. For audience measurement we use a cookieless, data-minimising service (see section 7).
This website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd. on servers within the European Union. When you visit the site, the hosting provider processes technically necessary data (server log files: IP address, date and time of access, requested page, browser type) to deliver the website and ensure system security (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
If you contact us by email or via the contact form, we process the details you provide (name, email address, message) solely to handle the request (Art. 6 (1) (b)/(f) GDPR). Messages sent via the form are delivered directly to our mailbox as email and are not stored on the web server. We delete the data once it is no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply.
Purchases are processed by Payhip Ltd. (London, UK). Data you enter during checkout (e.g. email address, payment details) is processed directly by Payhip and its payment providers (Stripe, PayPal). The EU Commission has issued an adequacy decision for the UK. Details: Payhip privacy policy.
Audio samples are embedded as YouTube videos (Google Ireland Ltd.) in a privacy-friendly way: no connection to YouTube is made when a page loads. Only when you actively click "Load video" is the video loaded in enhanced privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com); data (including your IP address) is then transmitted to Google. Legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Details: Google privacy policy.
To see how often our pages are viewed, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). The service works without cookies and without cross-site or cross-device identification: no identifier is stored on your device and no usage profile is created. Only aggregated page-view data is collected (page requested, referring page, browser and device type, coarse region of origin and technical loading times). Your IP address is used by Cloudflare solely to serve the request and is not stored, so we cannot identify individual visitors. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a data-minimising, statistical analysis of website usage). For the transfer of data to the USA, Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which an adequacy decision of the European Commission exists. Details: Cloudflare privacy policy.
On our pages you can sign up to be notified by email when a new volume is released. For this we process your email address only — we deliberately do not ask for anything else.
Sign-up uses the double opt-in procedure: after submitting the form you receive an email containing a confirmation link, and only clicking it adds your address to the list. The times of sign-up and confirmation are stored as proof of consent. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR in conjunction with § 7 (2) no. 3 of the German Act Against Unfair Competition (UWG).
You may withdraw your consent at any time without giving reasons — via the unsubscribe link at the end of every email or informally to hallo@timelesstalesclassics.de. Withdrawal takes effect for the future and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand. After unsubscribing your address is deleted from the list; sign-up and unsubscribe records are kept only as long as needed to prove the consent once given. If you do not unsubscribe, we store your address for as long as the list exists.
The list is sent and managed via Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH / Brevo SAS, 106 boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris, France). Brevo processes the data as our processor on servers within the European Union; a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place. No transfer to a third country takes place. Brevo reports to us whether an email was delivered and opened so that we can check delivery technically. Details: Brevo privacy policy.
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for Hesse, Germany: The Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
